1978 Mustang II with a V10 Triton engine. Still badass, found some build pics of it.
EDIT: It's interesting to note that they extended the front end by a large amount to compensate for the larger motor, and I think the long-nose body looks fantastic.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Well, I found some pictures on the internet of it during the build supposedly.

Proves my point that The mustang II is not a bad car as long as it doesnt have the original drivetrain

Well, you can definitely make even a 70s 302 have plenty of power, but a V10 is just nuts.

Easily the coolest thing I've seen on the internet in maybe ever.
Keeping in mind, that I could write you a novel on how terrible looking the Mustang II is. This thing borders on being unbelievable.

And people said the Mustang II was ugly...

It really reminds me of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage from the late 70s. All of the weird 70s styling, but with proportions right out the 60s:

Here's a side view to see what I mean:

They slightly changed the shape of the rear slope, added a ducktail spoiler (which both shorten the appearance of the rear) widened the fenders enough for a classic "side scoop", put modern-style fenders on, and then extended the front end/axle by about a foot. It's subtle, but it dramatically changes the proportions of the vehicle by making the rear look shorter and the front look so much longer.

Well, let's be honest, wide fenders and wide body kit in general kind of make any "muscle car" (yeah it's a mustang 2 so not really a muscle car in any way...) look better... :)

And Mustang IIs look amazing with fender flares .

Agreed on the Ol' Vantage comparo for sure. It definitely has the side profile of both being a Mustang and resembling the Euro body designs of the time. Quite impressive IMO

I'm not a fan of the Mustang II (who is, really), but that thing looks awesome. What a difference a longer hood makes.
